Women in STEM Week
Welcome undergraduate students! During the last week in February, the WISE Institute dedicates a week to women in the STEM fields.
Every year our local chapter of Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) asks that Penn State faculty, staff, and students wear a green ribbon for one week in recognition of the role women have played in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields and the obstacles that they still face.
Women in STEM Week usually corresponds to the week immediately prior to the VOICES Conference.
Green Ribbons will be available for all who attend the Women in STEM events (details vary each year) or you may stop by the WISE Institute to pick up one in person.
