Undergraduate Students
Outreach Opportunities
The WISE Institute offers many outreach opportunities to female undergraduate students, both volunteer and paid, including:
- Leadership opportunities in student groups and conferences
- Expanding Your Horizons™ - Volunteer:
- Call for Volunteers occurs in Fall each year
- Volunteers may assist before and/or during the event with:
- Event organization, registration, evaluations etc.
- Act as role models to participants in grades 7-8
- Guide participants to and sit in on workshops on campus
- WISE Camps - become a program or resident assistant
- Program Assistant
- Assist the workshop and project leaders with facilitating and teaching the hands-on activities
- Excellent opportunity for students who are interested in learning more about various STEM disciplines
- Responsible for a small group of high school students throughout the day
- Receive stipends of $300/week (daily lunch included)
- Resident Assistant
- Responsible for arranging and supervising activities for our resident campers, outside of summer camp classes.
- Supervise campers through the night in the residence halls to the following morning
- Dinner and breakfast are eaten with the campers
- Receive a stipend of $300/week (meals and lodging while with campers included)
- Program Assistant
