Lockheed Martin Scholarships

$1000 scholarships provided to female undergraduate students majoring in the sciences and engineering.

Criteria for Eligibility:

  • Current full-time undergraduate women students at Penn State pursuing their first bachelors degree
  • Majoring in the sciences or engineering (AG, ENGR, EMS, HHD, IST, and SCI)
  • 4th or 5th semester standing as defined by Senate Policy 37-70 (maximum credits 75) beginning in Fall Semester.
  • Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or better.
  • Applicants must be willing to participate in education outreach activities (for grades K-12 or the general public) for a minimum of five hours per semester during their scholarship year

Lockheed Martin Scholarship Recipients 2007-2008 Academic Year

Linda Blasé: Linda is a junior majoring in Microbiology with a minor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Eberly College of Science. She is a member of the Schreyer Honors College and plans to attend medical school.

Erin Borrell: Erin is a junior majoring in Nutrition in the College of Health and Human Development. She is a member of the Women's Leadership Initiative. After graduation she plans to receive her BS in nutrition and then attend graduate school to become a Physician Assistant.

Anna Brown: Anna is a senior majoring in Supply Chain Management and Information Sciences & Technology in the Smeal College of Business and the College of Information Sciences & Technology respectively. She is Head Coach & Coordinator of the Innovation & Quality Team Program in the Smeal College of Business. She plans to receive both her Bachelors Degrees in August 2008, and continue her education by getting her masters in the area of IT Project Management at Johns Hopkins University.

Cheryl Domitrovich: Cheryl is a junior majoring in Animal Bioscience with a minor in Equine Science. After receiving her Bachelors Degree, she plans to go on to Veterinary school at University of Pennsylvania.

Lu Feng: Lu is a junior in the Schreyer Honors College, majoring in Astronomy & Astrophysics with minors in Physics and Math within the Eberly College of Science. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school for a doctorate degree in theoretical physics.

Rebecca Green: Rebecca is a junior majoring in Astronomy and Astrophysics in the Eberly College of Science and is planning to double major in Computer Science.

Sarah Lawrence: Sarah is a junior majoring in Human Development and Family Studies in the College of Health and Human Development. She is a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She will graduate in the spring of 2009 and begin a career in a nursing facility.

Neh Molyneaux: Neh is a double major student in Food Science and Nutrition in the College of Agriculture as well as the College of Human Health and Development. Upon graduation, she plans on attending medical school and pursuing a career as either a pediatrician or a pediatric radiologist.

Kara Mosovsky: Kara is a junior in the Schreyer Honors College majoring in Animal Bioscience with a double minor in Spanish and Biology. She is the membership officer for the newly created Biomedical Sciences Club and hopes to attend vet or grad school after she graduates.

Abigail Olin: Abby is a junior majoring in Nursing in the College of Health and Human Development, and enjoys involvement in the Student Nursing Association of Pennsylvania and the Penn State Dance Marathon. After graduation she hopes to gain experience in the nursing field before attending graduate school to become a Nurse Practitioner.

Amy Timlin: Amy is a Nursing major in the College of Health and Human Development. She is a member of the Student Nursing Association of Pennsylvania and plans to receive a Bachelor in Science and continue on to get her Masters in Nursing Anesthesiology.

Sandra Yeboa: Sandra is a junior double majoring in Geography: Urban and Regional Development and Political Science through the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and the College of Liberal Arts. She is a member of the Schreyer Honors College and hopes to further her graduate studies as a JD/PhD candidate.
