The WISE Institute represents an innovative approach to cross-disciplinary interaction among engineers, humanists, scientists, and social scientists to address the under representation of women in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) disciplines at Penn State, nationally, and internationally.
We strive to support and enhance the programs and activities undertaken by our constituent colleges (AG, ENGR, EMS, HHD, IST, SCI) that promote women at all levels within their specific disciplines, while housing the interdisciplinary programs and activities within the WISE Institute. More about us…
Support women and young girls in the STEM fields...Many different groups organize a variety of WISE activities across Penn State locations. The activities promote recruitment, retention, and the professional development of women and young girls in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematical fields. The majority of these programs, including scholarships, are made possible through gifts by individuals like you and organizations in our local community. |
