The WISE Institute addresses the underrepresentation of women in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) disciplines at Penn State, nationally, and internationally.

We strive to support and enhance the programs and activities undertaken by our constituent colleges that promote women at all levels within their specific disciplines.

Many different groups organize a variety of WISE activities across Penn State locations. The activities include:

Recruitment
Retention
Professional development
Scholarships

The majority of these programs are made possible through gifts by individuals like you and organizations in our local community.
