Women in STEM Week

Welcome graduate students! During the last week in February, the WISE Institute dedicates a week to women in the STEM fields.

Every year our local chapter of Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) asks that Penn State faculty, post-doc, and graduate students wear a green ribbon for one week in recognition of the role women have played in science and engineering and the obstacles that they still face.

Women in STEM Week usually corresponds to the week immediately prior to the VOICES Conference.

Ribbons will be available for all who attend the Women in STEM Week events (details vary each year). Ribbons are also distributed to the departments for female faculty, post-doc, and graduate students in the sciences and engineering colleges (AG, EMS, ENGR, HHD, IST, SCI).
