WHAT is Inside the Scientists Studio (ISS)?
Inspired by Inside the Actors Studio, Inside the Scientists Studio is a monthly seminar series of interactive interviews with female Faculty, and Industry and Government Professionals in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. The focus of the interviews are general, discussing the life experiences of the interviewees and will appeal to audiences of all career levels and from all fields. Over the course of one year, the seminar will focus on each of the six WISE Constituent Colleges and the Colleges of Education and Liberal Arts.
ISS for Graduate Students
Do you want a chance to know what it is really like to be a faculty, industry, or government professional? Many issues cross discipline lines such as family-work balance, graduate life and communicating with one’s advisory. The ISS monthly series will provide you with an entertaining look at the personal and professional life and decisions of the interviewees. You will also have a chance to ask your own question of the interviewees during the question and answer session following the interview.
