Post-doc and Early Career Faculty
Travel Grants

The WISE Institute offers travel grants to female post-docs and early career faculty majoring in STEM fields. We encourage post-docs and early career faculty who are presenting a paper, poster, or giving a presentation at a professional conference to apply for a travel grant.

Requirements: To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:

  • Female post-doc or early career faculty in the College of Agricultural Sciences, College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Health and Human Development, College of Information Sciences and Technology, and Eberly College of Science.
  • Must be presenting a paper, poster or giving an oral presentation that is related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The conference, however, does not need to be STEM-related.
  • Must have matching funds.
  • All travel grant recipients must become active (if not already active) with a WISE program or student group.

Deadlines:

  • Prior to Travel – All paperwork must be submitted 2 weeks prior to travel date.
  • Post Travel – All required travel related forms and supporting documentation must be submitted two weeks after the travel grant recipient returns from the conference.

Awards:

  • Post docs/ early career faculty can apply for up to $250 for domestic and international conferences.
  • Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as long as the applicant meets the eligibility requirements.
