Lockheed Martin Scholarship Recipients 2006-2007 Academic Year

Debie Blair: Debie is a sophomore majoring in Food Science with a minor in Chemistry in the College of Agricultural Sciences. She is a member of the Schreyer Honors College and plans to receive her Bachelors and Masters Degrees through the Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate Program.

Jennifer Carr: Jennifer is currently a junior majoring in Geography within the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. In addition to her major in Geography, Jennifer hopes to earn an Environmental Inquiry and Natural Science minor.

Mallory Cranmer: Mallory is a junior majoring in Microbiology with a minor in Biochemistry within the Eberly College of Science. After completing her co-op with Walter Reed for the Spring/Summer 2007 semesters and her undergraduate degree, Mallory sees herself finishing professional school for optometry or medical/graduate school.

Prerana Dalal: Prerana is a junior majoring in Information Sciences and Technology. She is an active leader within her College and is devoted to helping her community, both in IST and Penn State as a whole. After completing her undergraduate degree, Prerana would like to enter the workforce, focusing on IT strategies, for a few years before returning to attain a joint MBA and JD degree at an acclaimed institution.

Rebecca Entler: Rebecca is a junior majoring in Energy, Business, and Finance in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. She is treasurer of the Energy, Business, and Finance Society and hopes to motivate students in her degree program by inviting successful women in science to campus to share their professional experience.

Jennifer Fang: Jennifer is a junior majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with the Lifespan Research Option and a minor in Conflict and Dispute Management, as well as a Schreyer Honors scholar working on her Honor’s Thesis in marital conflict. Following graduation, Jennifer would like to pursue further education in a master’s/doctorate program in Human Development and Family Studies or Marriage and Family Therapy.

Abbey Johnson: Abbey is a junior majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Eberly College of Science at the Pennsylvania State University. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Abbey plans to attend the Pennsylvania College of Optometry to obtain her doctor of Optometry degree.

Tanya Minteer: Tanya is a junior majoring in Animal Science, science option. Upon graduation, Tanya plans to attend veterinarian school or possibly start her career early by opening her own business to benefit animal’s health, nutrition and overall life.

Ryan Patterson: Ryan is currently a junior majoring in Energy, Business, and Finance within the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. After completing her undergraduate degree, she would like to work for an energy company that will utilize her talents in regards to the inner business workings of the industry and use her understanding of energy sustainability.

Christine Pennesi: Christine is a sophomore in the Schreyer Honors College majoring in Biobehavioral Health with a minor in Neuroscience within the College of Health and Human Development. After graduating from Penn State she plans to further her education in either graduate or medical school.
