Scholarship Information
Beware of Scholarship Scams!
Deceptive "lines" that companies use:
- “The scholarship/financial aid is guaranteed or your money back.”
- “You can’t get this information anywhere else.”
- “I need your credit card or bank account number to hold this scholarship/financial aid.”
- “We’ll do all the work.”
- “The scholarship/financial aid will cost some money.”
- “You’ve been selected by a ‘national foundation’ to receive a scholarship” or “You’re a finalist” in a contest you never entered.
The bottom line?
- You do not have to pay for advice on federal student aid?
- Information is Free!
- Applying is Free!
