Computer Support Specialist
Position Description
The Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity periodically has openings for qualified applicants to assist with computer support for the offices and staff within the division.
The duties include general desktop support for the following offices and staff:
All of the computers in the division are PC platform. The majority of the systems are currently running Windows XP Professional as the operating system. The bulk of support operations at University Park are centered in two buildings - Boucke and Grange. Telephone support also is provided to other off-campus staff around the Commonwealth.
Additional duties may be assigned based on experience and/or expertise.
Some lifting is required.
Additional Qualifications:
Skill in at least one of the following areas is a required:

Windows XP Professional: installation/operation/troubleshooting

PC software support
-
PC hardware support
-
Database development/support
Applicants must be mature, self-starters who are able to work with little supervision. Hiring preference will be given to students with a working knowledge of Educational Equity programs.
