Services
The Educational Opportunity Centers Program (EOC) operating in Southwestern Pennsylvania provides the following services to eligible adults interested in pursuing postsecondary education:
Admissions Assistance
- Information about area postsecondary programs and institutions
- Counseling on identifying and selecting a postsecondary program and institution
- Help in obtaining and completing admissions application
- Help in transferring from one postsecondary institution to another
Financial Aid Assistance
- Help in applying for financial aid - completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and filing on-line
- Help in conducting an independent scholarship search on the Internet
- Access to EOC office library of scholarship books
- Help in resolving student loan defaults
Other Services
- Referrals to community agencies and additional supportive services
- Information on and referrals to GED preparatory programs and testing centers
- Campus tours of postsecondary institutions
- Assistance in setting up free e-mail account
All of EOC services are free. Additionally, EOC conducts workshops on these topics and others designed to help going back to school a little easier.
