| Welcome to the Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP) at Penn State. CSP is an equal opportunity higher education program jointly funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania State University. | ![]() |
Comprehensive Studies serves students at the University Park campus who qualify for ACT 101 admission. In addition, ACT 101 qualified students who begin at other Penn State campuses become CSP students whenever they change their campus assignment to University Park.
Our goal is to help program students deal successfully with the many economic, educational and personal challenges they will face as they strive to earn a college degree. Experience has taught us that the best way to do this is through a program of coursework, counseling, tutoring, and networking.

Most CSP students are recent high school graduates, many of whom are the first member of their family to go to college. They come from families whose modest financial resources make it difficult to provide much financial assistance. Many also come from schools where very limited resources have impacted their learning opportunities. |
