Becoming a Member?

Who can be a member of the Commission?
The Commission is comprised of University faculty, staff, students, and administrators. Each spring, the Commission invites individuals to apply for membership through various listservs and the Newswires. A Nominating Committee reviews the applications and forwards a list of suggestions to the President of Penn State for appointment. Appointments to the Commission are for three-year terms.

If you are interested in membership, or if you know of someone you would like to nominate to the commission, please follow the link below to the Application / Nomination for Membership form. (Self-nominations are welcome!)

On-line Application / Nomination for Membership Form
[ Nomination for Full Membership closed at this time. The commission is only accepting applications for affiliates. ]

Is there a way to be involved in the Commission's activities without actually being a full member?
Yes! You can use the above link to the Application / Nomination for Membership form to indicate that you are interested in becoming an affiliate member to CLGBTE.

Each committee and task force meets periodically throughout the semester and is comprised of both Commission members and affiliate members.
