How can I get involved? It's easy!
During the academic year, the commission holds monthly meetings that are open to all members of the University community. Please attend when you can, learn about the commission's goals and activities, and ask about opportunities to volunteer. Each spring, invitations to apply for commission memberships are published in the newswire and on our Web site.
The commission's nominating committee forwards selected names of nominees for each available position to the President of the University, who approves and appoints the new members. Full members of the commission serve three-year terms, and affiliate members are appointed to serve one-year terms. Appointed positions are filled only during the spring call for nominations/applications. Affiliate (volunteer) positions are open throughout the year.
The commission always welcomes volunteers as members to assist on its committees. Just fill out the application below.
