Achieving Women Award Lists of Past Awardees

The Penn State Commission for Women realizes that there are many distinguished and accomplished women at the University. The Commission has chosen to acknowledge the achievements of these women in various ways over the years. In 1991 and 1992, booklets were printed that listed Penn State's Achieving Women for those years. All nominees were recognized for their achievements. In 1999, a similar booklet covering the five years between 1994 and 1999 was published.

In 2000, the first Achieving Women Awards were given. Women in various categories were selected and honored at the annual spring banquet. Although the categories have changed slightly over the years, the award continues to be given to those Penn State women whose achievements inspire us.
