Definition
LIFT is a software solution developed by UsableNet™ that enables web developers to evaluate individual web pages or web sites based upon guidelines that are accessible under section 508 and compliant with W3C standards.

Purpose of LIFT
LIFT provides an integrated solution for creating web accessible pages while working within a developmental environment by evaluating and validating web pages during production.

LIFT does not require the user to have in-depth knowledge about accessibility or usability. However, LIFT does provide education to web developers specific to accessibility issues via an integrated knowledge base and provides assistance in resolving reported instances through the use of a Fix Wizard.

Where to Purchase LIFT NN/g
LIFT NN/g Pro Suite CD is available for departmental purchase only through the Penn State Computer Store. Departments can purchase one media and install on multiple stations as PSU has unlimited license agreement. Departments will be given an account user id and password to unlock LIFT Online features.
